Mandatory qualifications and conditions- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.- Although not mandatory, possession of a degree or equivalent in the areas of accounting, commerce or business administration is highly desirable and/or membership of a professional accounting body.
Requirements of the role- Experience in leading asset valuations in the public sector, ensuring compliance with Non-current Asset Policies and relevant Australian Accounting Standards.- Ability to foster cooperative working relationships with stakeholders including clients, asset valuers, other government departments, and service providers.- Provide leadership, training, direction, co-ordination and advice to team members and stakeholders.- High level analytical skills to drive accountability for the execution of team deliverables.- Experience guiding, providing strategic direction and accounting advice on principles, frameworks and processes as they relate to internal and external financial reporting on simple and complex tangible and intangible assets.
