Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is working with local government to secure a Project Engineer for this 6-month opportunity. The position is also responsible for managing projects, engaging widely with stakeholders across Council, applying sound judgement by investigating and reporting complex governance and/or integrity matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Program Leader to coordinate the development of business improvements that align with the strategic direction of the Branch and Council.
- Monitor and identify policy gaps and drive policy change for improved outcomes on Program matters
- Investigate and respond to matters arising from ethics and integrity complaints including Code of Conduct, Councillor conduct, fraud and corruption, conflicts of interest, and human rights matters.
- Formal tertiary qualifications ideally in governance, ethics / integrity, risk and / or compliance, and/or investigations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current legislation, frameworks, principles and practices in ethics and integrity, ideally in a State or Local Government context.
- Expert reporting skills with extensive experience in producing complex compliance strategy reports and preparing business cases, correspondence and briefing material for senior, executive management, and elected officials
