This is a temporary assignment working full-time hours, commencing the start of February through to 31st July 2024. About the Role Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, this position will support the delivery of Internal Audit objectives by providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services. Your key responsibilities will include: Performing complex financial, operational and IT audits Completion of advisory and special projects as required Performing data analysis, reporting and providing insights to stakeholders Undertaking timely follow up on audit actions to ensure that they have been completed Assisting with identifying and developing audit techniques Mentoring and supporting staff as required. You Substantial knowledge and experience in conducting complex audits, reviews and providing value adding advice in respect to governance, internal controls and risk management A high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent analytical and research skills for conducting complex risk based internal audits of an operational, performance-based or financial nature, and the interpretation and application of various forms of legislation and standards Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs and the ability to develop proficiency with Council’s corporate systems, accounting and auditing software Significant experience with data analytics and BI reporting will…
