As part of the department’s Digital Transformation initiative, this Principal Legal Adviser role sits within the Office of General Counsel, supporting key stakeholders including Ministers, the Secretary and other branches.
With a focus on ICT matters, tech procurement, commercial contracting and tendering, the role will suit a mid-senior level legal practitioner with strong experience negotiating and drafting complex technology contracts. The amalgamation of the government e-services and IT infrastructure registers is a key project the role will focus on.
This Greenfields role is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to maintain complex commercial, procurement and ICT focused work, while stepping up into a key stakeholder management and leadership position. The role also presents opportunity to provide data, privacy and cyber security advice in response to data breach incidents; supporting an experienced State Controller.
