Job description:
Are you experienced in providing legal support services in a large multidisciplinary organisation? and support the management and delivery of legal services to the Department of Health (DoH)
The role:
Support the management and delivery of legal services to the Department of Health (DoH). This includes managing the provision of specialist high level legislative review and legal support advisory services to the Minister for Health, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, Executive, Strategic Executive and other senior managers in DoH regarding legal policy issues for the health system including statewide and national issues and developments.
Provide specialist advice to support legislative review, including preparing or coordinating relevant legal policy advice, drafting instructions, Minutes, Cabinet submissions, Parliamentary Papers, and other documentation.
Manage and assist with the provision of authorative advice in relation to contracting issues, developing agreements, matters relating to indemnity and insurance
Conducting research, investigations and undertaking analysis into emerging legal issues.
Advise on emerging legal issues and formulate correspondence to the Office of the Solicitor-General and State Litigation Office.
Assist with managing the Agency's statutory obligations, including Right to Information requests.
