As the Principal, you will deliver the vision of the department, improve the educational outcomes of students in their school, and develop the quality of teaching and learning, while you nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.
About Us:
Tolga State School implements the Australian Curriculum with a central focus on high attainment of literacy and numeracy for all students. All Learning Areas are taught, assessed and reported on to parents and carers four times per year (Twice written, twice verbally). Extra-curricular activities such as our Sports Academy, external STEM Providers (eg JCU, Smithfield SHS, TEEC), Choir, Choric Speaking teams, instrumental music, and community activities (ANZAC day, show, environmental activities) provide educational opportunities in whichever fields our students pursue to achieve their potential.
Student achievement is our staff's main focus as we identify the needs of each individual and demonstrate flexibility to maximise student support using close working relationships with families. Student development is enriched by the philosophies and support of our values program, gifted and talented programs, early intervention strategies, learning and special needs support.
