The Blair Athol Coal mine is located 24 km northwest of the family-friendly township of Clermont in Central Queensland, 120 km northwest of Emerald and 275 km southwest of Mackay.

The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Mining Engineer (Scheduling) to join our dynamic and motivated technical services team at Blair Athol Coal mine, located 24 km northwest of the family friendly township of Clermont in Central Queensland.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Collaborate with both the technical and execution teams to deliver a robust and achievable schedule.
- Lead the scheduling and be responsible for the sites mine planning functions.
- Identify, report and provide recommendations on critical paths, bottlenecks, and key milestones within the schedules.
- Establish and maintain relationships for management of coal delivery.
- Develop and continuously improve safe and robust mine planning systems.
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant Mining Degree Qualification with 5+ years post grad open cut mining experience.
- Significant relevant experience in design.
- Experience within operations; preferably with exposure to a large-scale opencut coal mining operations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret and articulate technical information.
- Scheduling experience (highly regarded).
