About the role
The Strategy and Governance (S&G) team at Queensland Public Trustee (QPT) is dedicated to shaping the strategic direction and governance framework of our organisation. Encompassing Strategy and Planning, Government and Executive Services, and Strategic Engagement and Community Education, S&G integrates contemporary practices and proactive thinking within a complex, evolving landscape. We prioritise strategic initiatives, manage policy and governance, and deliver timely, accurate advice to support QPT's objectives and performance.
As the Principal Performance and Reporting Officer, you will be at the forefront of QPT's strategic performance measurement and Reporting. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your high-level strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills to design and implement robust performance metrics, systems, and reports. Your expertise will support the CEO, Board of Management, Executive Leadership Team, and Statutory Board in making informed, data-driven decisions.
You'll lead efforts to identify key strategic performance indicators, manage the flow of critical information between business units, and produce insightful reports and dashboards. Your work will facilitate the monitoring of QPT's strategic performance, aligning our activities with our broader goals and objectives. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in negotiating and collaborating with managers and teams across the organisation to refine and enhance our performance measurement practices.

The following attributes are keys to your success in this role:
- Proven ability to design and implement effective performance metrics and Reporting systems that align with organisational goals.
- Expertise in collecting, analysing, and interpreting strategic performance data and key performance indicators.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, capable of producing executive-level reports and presentations.
- Strong negotiation and teamwork skills to engage with various stakeholders and enhance performance reporting practices.
- Advanced skills in business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, to develop dashboards and data visualisations.
While not mandatory, qualifications in business-related disciplines and experience with contemporary business intelligence tools will be highly regarded.
