Your new role
The primary purpose of this role will be to develop and implement reform initiatives to achieve the objectives of the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013.
- Develop and implement evidence-based Policy and procedures to support the implementation of the regulation framework including updating of compliant Policy and review of the Board manual
- Lead and manage a range of projects to improve customer focus and help raise consumer awareness in collaboration with the Regulation Policy team
- Provide strategic and operational advice to the Board and CEO while overseeing effective secretariat support to Board processes
- Prepare complex and detailed reports, papers and briefs (including policy proposals) for presentation to the Board and executive
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in strategic planning, policy development or regulation development
- Excellent communication levels with senior internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to apply a high degree of analytical, creative reasoning, negotiation and interpersonal skills to provide accurate advice and recommendations
- Ability to balance priorities and demands of community, industry and government stakeholders in policy development
