Talk to us about how this could work for you.Hours per fortnightUp to 73.5 hours - flexible options available.Duties * Provide high level research, analysis, and advice on policy, legislative, and regulatory issues relevant to the Division, and lead the development and delivery of solutions, proposals, and recommendations.
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of complex and/or high priority policy, regulatory, and legislative projects, consistent with the Office's strategic work program and the Government's priorities, including by supporting and supervising more junior staff.
- Provide authoritative advice to the Director of Local Government, the Secretary, and the Minister on legislation administered by the Office.
- Actively contribute to strategic direction-setting, risk identification and management, and continuous business improvement measures for the Office.
- Prepare a range of complex written materials, including ministerial and Cabinet documentation and correspondence, reports and briefing notes and supporting material for Policy and legislation.
- Assist in the development, management, and implementation of elements of the Office's education and regulatory compliance program, as required.
- Effectively liaise and consult, at management level, with State agencies, local government and other stakeholders on policy, legislative, and regulatory compliance issues.
- Undertake other duties within this classification level and range of responsibilities which are within the employee's competence and skill level.
