As a Principal Power System Analyst, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy storage by providing advanced technical expertise in Power System analysis and optimisation. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct comprehensive Power System studies, including dynamic modeling, stability analysis, and grid integration assessments.
- Utilise advanced simulation tools to analyse and optimise energy storage system performance, including frequency regulation, voltage support, and peak shaving.
- Develop and implement algorithms and methodologies for real-time monitoring and control of energy storage assets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop system-level solutions that address customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the design, deployment, and commissioning of energy storage projects.
- Conduct performance evaluations and assessments of existing energy storage installations, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
- Analyse market trends and regulatory frameworks to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and technical forums to share knowledge and best practices.
- Lead technical presentations and workshops for internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Support the development of project proposals and bids by providing technical input and expertise.
- Collaborate with research institutions and academia to advance the state-of-the-art in energy storage technologies and applications.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Power System analysis and optimisation, with a focus on renewable energy integration and grid stability.
- Proficiency in Power System simulation software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, or DIgSILENT.
- Strong understanding of energy storage technologies and their applications in Power Systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to apply theoretical concepts to real-world challenges.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
