We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Brisbane. This pivotal role involves leading and managing Process Engineering for a diverse portfolio of gas and renewables projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Process Engineering projects from conceptual design to implementation, including feasibility studies and detailed engineering.
- Perform comprehensive process simulations and optimizations to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Process Engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Develop and review engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and process control philosophies.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of process systems.
- Engage in client meetings and technical discussions, providing expert recommendations and understanding project requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying them appropriately in project designs.
- Mentor junior engineers, aiding in their professional development and technical proficiency.
- Maintain robust relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) Certification.
- At least 15 years of experience in Process Engineering, preferably within the Gas and Petroleum sector.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., UNISIM).
- Excellent analytical, project management, and leadership skills.
- Strong familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
- A professional engineering license or eligibility for registration is preferred.
- A steadfast commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
