Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Principal Project Officer who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. Our collaborative department is in need of an enthusiastic individual who embraces challenges and is committed to making a positive impact within education for the state government sector.
About your new role
The Principal Project Officer is tasked with aligning project objectives with departmental, divisional, and area priorities and strategies. They establish and uphold communication channels among internal and external stakeholders to ensure the fulfillment of overarching project goals. Additionally, they offer authoritative counsel in their areas of expertise and serve as a key advisor to a wide array of stakeholders, including senior executives. In their role as a senior team member, they undertake responsibility for managing intricate projects and engaging with stakeholders, operating under the guidance of the Manager.
What you will need to exceed:

  • Proficient in overseeing contracts, grants, and project administration, with a thorough grasp of governmental procurement procedures, governance, risk mitigation, and confidentiality standards.
  • Skilled in formulating and executing initiatives within the labor market realm, particularly in the domains of Skills Development, Education, and Apprenticeship programs.
  • Adept at orchestrating grant programs throughout their entire life cycle, from conceptualization to execution and management.
  • Possessing strong communication acumen, capable of contributing to intricate briefings, negotiations, and exerting influence while fostering collaboration within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrating advanced capabilities in engaging stakeholders at senior echelons, spanning both public and private sectors, with a preference for experience in the Skills and Education/Apprenticeships sector, though not obligatory.
