Job description

The Policy and Resource Development Unit is part of QCAA's K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch within the QCAA's Curriculum Services Division. The Branch is responsible for: development of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and support for implementation of the P- 10 Australian Curriculum, delivery of professional development to support implementation of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and P-10 Australian Curriculum and development of curriculum and assessment resources.

For this role, your knowledge and experience in Prep to Year 10 Humanities and Social Sciences will be considered along with how well you:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop professional learning and resources to support P-10 Australian Curriculum: Humanities and Social Sciences implementation.
  • Support the design and delivery of professional development for teachers and key stakeholders to support P-10 Australian Curriculum: Humanities and Social Sciences implementation.
  • Provide expert advice to Managers and the Director on issues related to professional learning and publication of web resources.
  • Prepare briefings and correspondence.
  • Lead and manage projects within timelines, using allocated resources.
  • Liaise professionally with educational agencies and a range of stakeholders on projects.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships between the Authority and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in forums and workshops in relation to the work of the QCAA.
  • Undertake specific tasks as required to assist the QCAA in achieving its business outcomes, including using data to inform decisions.
  • Contribute to a change management and performance development culture by participating in regular two- way feedback discussions with your manager and colleagues, and through the implementation of an individual Performance and Development Plan (PDP).
