The initiative focuses on identifying climate refuge reefs, which are less exposed to climate stress due to local oceanographic conditions. The CRR project operates in six countries with a concentration of such reefs: Fiji, Solomon Islands, Indonesia, Philippines, Madagascar, and Tanzania.The project's main objective is to strengthen capacity and implement solutions for the long-term survival of climate refuge Coral Reef ecosystems, thereby conserving biodiversity and supporting the economies and communities dependent on them. It achieves this through four components:Establishing a global network of knowledge and best practices, along with a monitoring platform. Creating national hubs in the six countries for collaborative design and implementation of action plans. Developing an investment portfolio for sustainable livelihood projects in priority areas. Implementing a communications strategy to raise awareness about the importance of climate refuge reefs.The Principal Project Officer will be responsible for the delivery of activities and outputs under Component 1, Outcome 1.1. The Principal Project Officer will be responsible for delivering a wide range of project-related activities across all phases of the project life-cycle. Key deliverables for this project include the development of 4 online courses and at least 6 virtual workshops.Key responsibilities will include:Project CoordinationFacilitate a needs assessment in each project country to establish country-specific needs.Coordinate and deliver learning events as identified in the needs assessment and outlined in the knowledge strategy, adhering to principles of gender equity.Catalyse and support dialogue around topics of interest through facilitating the establishment and active participation of stakeholders in communities of practice.Design online courses that are aligned with the needs of the target audience, as identified in the needs assessment and outlined in the knowledge strategy.Coordinate the development of up to four online courses that are accessible to male and female learners with diverse expertise and backgrounds and connectivity/bandwidth contexts.Project Administration and communicationAggregate the needs assessment results data at a global level and develop findings report.Develop timelines, budgets, and work plans for the development of up to four online courses according to the Knowledge strategy.Planning and reporting requirements for Component 1, Outcome 1.1 to UQID Project Management Unit, which will include at a minimum submission of annual workplans and budgets and progress reports.Stakeholder engagementcontent and approach to planned learning resources and events are relevant to the specific context and needs of different countries, and that ownership by stakeholders is ensured.Financial ManagementSupervising the project budget of CRR GEF7 Outcome 1.1To request a copy of the Position Description including the full list of key responsibilities, please email .There are two positions available both part-time (40% FTE and 60%FTE), fixed-term position for up to 2 years.At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range of $96,649.64 - $105,244.58 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $113,080.08 - $123,136.16 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.About YouBachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, international development, or social sciences.With at least 4 years of experience in program management, with a focus on knowledge management, education, or capacity development.Experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder partnerships and working with diverse groups of stakeholders, including government and non-government institutions, communities, and academic bodies.Strong facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.Knowledge and understanding of gender equity principles and their application in program design and implementation.Experience in monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on adaptive management and learning.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
