Join this newly created Program Management Office (PMO) established to lead program management, project delivery and implementation of recommendations made by the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce to design and deliver holistic services to address the multiple issues and needs of women in the criminal justice system.
In this role you will critically examine frontline Court Advisory service models, methods and frameworks both in Australia and abroad, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to define detailed requirements, and develop an evidence based, best practice operating model for Queensland Corrective Service’s statewide Court Advisory service expansion.

About the Command:
The Transformation Office, within the Office of the Commissioner, Queensland Corrective Services (QCS), is responsible for leading the planning and delivery of the QCS' portfolio and reform agenda and comprises of:

  • Portfolio Delivery
  • Strategic Transformation
  • Portfolio Change
  • Women's System Reform Program Management Office (PMO)
About the Principal Project Officer Court Advisory role:
You will have exemplary experience in the human-centered design, development and delivery of frontline service models (with a focus on best practice) and critically examine comparative models, methodologies and frameworks from other jurisdictions to adopt best-practice approaches in QCS.
You will understand frontline service delivery in the criminal justice system including police, courts and corrections and have proven experience in developing services for targeted cohort.
You will be responsible for rapidly acquiring and applying legislative knowledge, policy and practice to analyse, research, and develop evidence-based design of a court advice service model including, but not limited to, workforce structure, practice framework, policy, procedure, service delivery standards, and performance requirements.
You will have a strong understanding of the over representation First Nations peoples in the criminal justice system and exemplary stakeholder engagement capabilities to work collaboratively with government and non-government stakeholders including police, courts, service sector and the judiciary.

This position will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Women's System Reform agenda.
You will provide specialist support to the ongoing design, development, and implementation of Taskforce recommendations and projects to achieve the Taskforce objectives.
You will conduct research and analyse evidence-based best practice to provide expert advice for achieving key program and project outcomes.
You will understand the system strengths and issues and provide impartial, wellresearched advice to support informed decision-making, process improvement, business readiness and enablement.
You will apply appropriate project management methodology, policies and standards to deliver PMO services and functions that contribute to the QCS Women's System Reform.
You will have an analytical and growth mindset to provide solutions that positively impact organisational change projects including process and workflow re-design.
You will have a demonstrated understanding of benefits realisation and the ability to present recommendations to stakeholders and senior leaders and have top notch communication, change and engagement skills to work in an environment of complex and changing organisation.
Formal qualifications in project management (ie. Prince2), Human Resources, Psychology and/or Business-related disciplines will be highly regarded and/or an understanding of reform in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.
