Eden Ritchie is seeking a Principal Project Officer with contract management experience, government experience and some construction knowledge/experience.

As the Principal Project Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating the design, development, implementation and evaluation of infrastructure projects and initiatives, using a person-centred approach.
- Applying construction project management methodologies to deliver timely, high quality project outcomes, managing risks and emerging issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring appropriate documentation
- Developing, designing and implementing scope of works, project plans for low to high complexity infrastructure-based projects that meet agreed performance criteria (e.g. within scope, budget, schedule,
quality, alignment to building codes including universal design principles). - Using previous construction-industry experiences and skills to be a subject matter expert lead of multi- disciplinary and cross-service area teams and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to identify solutions, resolve issues and risks in order to deliver priority infrastructure projects.
- Building and sustaining effective, collaborative working relationships with team members and diverse internal and external stakeholders to leverage resources and technical expertise.
- Developing and contributing to the implementation of flexible and responsive governance mechanisms to support infrastructure projects of a varying range in value, size and complexity.
- Leading objective, systematic research and the analysis and interpretation of complex data to provide authoritative, evidence based and timely strategic advice to senior managers.
- Preparing high quality documentation, reports, correspondence, briefing notes, plans, submissions, presentations and other documentation as required.

- Demonstrate fundamental construction project management processes, methodologies and tools & techniques and ability to adapt them to delivery of sport and recreation infrastructure projects.

- Work collaboratively with team members and across business units to deliver the required work program and complete challenging tasks by managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Identify a broad range of development opportunities for team members, and develop staff for high performance through providing subject matter expert advice, appropriate guidance and supporting them to resolve their own issues.
- Demonstrate personal responsibility in meeting objectives, including the ability to proactively recognise and resolve issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.
Note: The position may undertake travel to city, regional and remote locations including overnight stays and will require occasional travel to remote locations including overnight stays. Some communities have alcohol management plans and restrictions in place. Field work may be subject to travelling over rough and flooded terrain and severe weather conditions, with thunderstorms, monsoon rains and extreme heat. Possession of a current driver’s licence is a mandatory requirement.
