We are seeking a talented Principal Integration and Data Transformation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise with Kafka and extensive experience in building integration solutions.
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance software solutions. You will be a technical leader within our organization, contributing to the architecture and development of our core systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Kafka and, preferably, Flink, and possess a deep understanding of distributed systems.
What you'll do:
- System Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of complex, scalable, and distributed systems that leverage Kafka and potentially Flink.
- Software Development: Hands-on coding and development of critical components, ensuring high quality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other engineers, to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal utilization of Kafka and other relevant technologies.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to distributed systems and real-time data processing.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, suggesting and implementing new approaches to enhance our systems.
You'll be expected to have:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Principal Software Engineer or a similar role, with a track record of designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems.
- Extensive experience with Apache Kafka and preferably Apache Flink.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or similar.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data streaming, and real-time processing.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide and inspire team members.
- Continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying updated on the latest technologies and industry best practices.
