About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in this newly created role to get involved in supporting Project Leads in delivering various IT projects across the Institute. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the Information Technology and Education sector.
The Project Administrator provides administrative support to the Project Managers and Delivery Leads for the Campus Network Upgrade and Corporate Telephony Project, and as required supports the project leads of the Information Security Uplift Program and End-user Technology upgrades. This role will act as a liaison between team members and the project delivery leads, as well as providing administrative support for each project.
About You:
The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications within an administration or business discipline and has experience in project administration or an equivalent work area that requires tracking multiple in-flight tasks and activities as well as strong communication skills. Possessing a foundational level of knowledge in project management would be desirable. Some experience in the field of Information Technology is desirable but not essential.
Your skills and experience should include:
- Administration Experience: Proven relevant experience in supporting a team including the ability to maintain accurate records, generate reports, maintain and improve administrative processes.
- Time Management: Ability to self-manage with limited supervision, respond efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritise your work and juggle competing demands to meet deadlines.
- Customer Service: Able to interact with a diverse range of people, highly approachable with a “can do” attitude and ability to maturely and diplomatically manage customer expectations.
- Written and Verbal Communication: Understands and meets the needs of the target audience through clear and concise speech and grammatically correct and appropriate formatted written communications.
- Flexibility: Adaptable, open to new ideas and change and willingness to do what is required to achieve the required outcomes.
- Initiative and Accountability: Is pro-active, identifies opportunities for efficiency and acting upon them and shows responsibility for own actions.
- Teamwork: Cooperates and works well with others in pursuit of team goals, shares knowledge and information appropriately, shows consideration, concern and respect for the feelings and ideas of others’, and works well with different working styles.
- Technology: A practical understanding of the use of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Teams. Interest and use of online learning tools, will be highly regarded.
