About the Role

 

 

Execute the talent strategy by delivering exceptional end-to-end talent management through HRBPs and business leaders, partnering with the Principal Talent Acquisition for aspects requiring external recruitment, and leverage insights on performance, potential, career opportunities to nurture top talent early, build pipelines of capable and high performing individuals and create multiple pathways for mobility, promotion, and experiential development.  Localise tools, routines, rhythms according to the regional/functional needs, growth areas and other nuances.  Build deep relationships with HRBPs and senior stakeholders to enable proactive and purpose-fit talent solutions.

 

Main Accountabilities:

 

•    Execute the talent strategy staying true to the intent, principles and guardrails while adapting to local needs where necessary by intimately understanding asset / functional needs and how to generate value through proactive talent management.

•    Partner with the global Talent team and any external vendor partners to ensure Executives are assessed for development in a timely, proactive manner (e.g., in time for key career transition points).

•    Provide insights on performance, potential, career opportunities so leaders are supported to nurture top talent early, build pipelines of capable and high performing individuals and multiple pathways for mobility, promotion and experiential development are provided especially for BHP’s top talent.  

•    Develop support mechanisms to hold individuals and their leaders to account for continuous development, including working with HRBPs to build purpose-fit talent tools, routines, rhythms.

•    Work with Principal Talent Acquisition in the same region to respond (proactively where possible) to leader / HRBP talent needs and create a seamless customer experience regardless of whether the HR BP / leader first comes to this role or the Principal TA, or whether internal or external talent will be sourced.
 

About You

 

 

To be a top performer you will need:


•    Tertiary qualification in business, strategy, economics, human resources or organisational psychology. 
•    Advanced English and Spanish proficiency. 
•    At least 10+ years of relevant experience. 
•    Experience excecuting Talent Strategy and/or Talent Acquisition strategy (or facets of) or other key strategic people interventions to deliver optimal business outcomes.
