Reporting to the Project Manager, Statistical Standards and Strategies Unit, Statistical Services Branch, your commitment to upholding Queensland Public Service values is foundational to successfully carrying out your responsibilities. Your role involves the strategic management of various technical testing facets, ranging from meticulous planning and overseeing test environments to supervising the development of testing products, defect management, and comprehensive test reporting. With a focus on maintaining the integrity of technical testing and acceptance activities, you will coordinate their execution within project timelines. Critical to success is the implementation of quality testing methods aligned with the Queensland Health ICT Testing Governance Policy framework. Your role includes ensuring project conformity to quality reviews and assurance, overseen by the Testing Competency and Assurance unit. Additionally, you'll manage the development of ICT testing cost estimates, resource requirements, and lead a team of technical testing resources. Proven consultancy skills or the ability to acquire them swiftly are essential, alongside ethical decision-making aligned with organizational goals.
The successful person
To excel in this role, you should showcase proven expertise in planning technical testing activities within large, intricate IM/ICT program/projects, specifically in the health industry. Preferably, your experience should extend to software development in statistical and data collection business domains, with a notable emphasis on test automation. Your track record should include comprehensive involvement in all testing phases, encompassing plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables, and auditability for substantial IM/ICT program/projects in the health sector. Ideally, you will have demonstrated proficiency in implementing quality testing methods and frameworks, particularly focusing on test automation, to uphold the integrity of testing processes.
Moreover, your qualifications should highlight demonstrated experience in providing expert knowledge of relevant technical testing techniques, methods, and tools frameworks within the health industry, with an added advantage for experience in software development related to statistical and data collection business domains, particularly emphasizing test automation. Your skill set should extend to initiating relationships and influencing key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of required IM/ICT outcomes. Additionally, you should possess high-level analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in assessing and evaluating testing requirements within complex IM/ICT environments.
