About You
As the Principal Waste Facilities, you will drive the management and operation of Toowoomba Regional Council's Waste Facilities. Your role will be pivotal in overseeing extensive projects and programs, particularly focusing on transitioning waste operations from a small landfill approach to an integrated logistics network. This involves optimizing material movement, maximizing resources, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, enhancing customer service, promoting resource recovery, and maintaining operational efficiency.

About the Position
This is a permanent full-time role based at the renowned Greater Toowoomba Waste Management Facility, offering:
- Salary Range: $109,817.33 - $123,936.67 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to Be Successful in This Position
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental), Environmental Health, Logistics, or a related field from a recognized university. Alternatively, extensive relevant experience and expertise in waste management operations.
- Desirable Qualifications: Post Graduate qualifications in management, project management, finance, or related fields.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and WH&S Competency Card for CPCCWHS1001.
- Experience: Extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and integrated facility networks, including civil, transport, and customer service operations.
- Skills: Strong procurement, project management, and contract management skills with a proven ability to comply with legislative requirements and manage financial systems relevant to facility operations.
