As a result of the rapid organic growth we are experiencing, we are now seeking an experienced Principal/Senior Systems Engineer (SESA) to join our Rail Systems Engineering team based in Perth WA.
About the role:
The Principal/Senior Systems Engineer position is a crucial role to our organisation and includes the guidance, advice and mentorship of a team of Systems professionals in all matters relating to system engineering.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Undertaking and managing Requirement and Configuration Management activities.
- Developing and managing project specific System Integration plans and processes.
- Developing and managing project specific verification and validation processes and plans.
- Managing Safety Requirements creation and register.
- Developing and managing Interface registers, stakeholders, and interface management tools such as Interface Matrices and Interface Control Documents.
- Coordinating and conducting Interface Hazard Analysis (IHA) activities and Operational & Support Hazard Analysis (OSHA) activities, assisting the safety engineers.
- Providing client advisory services related to application of System.
- Engineering principles to Railway Technology projects at concept, design, and implementation project stages.
About you:
- Degree qualified and have significant experience as a Principal or Senior Systems Engineer in a railway related system.
- Demonstrable understanding of requirements management processes and methodologies in alignment with Systems Engineering principles.
- Extensive experience in the tools utilised for the development and maintenance of requirements specifications, such as IBM DOORS, HP or ALM
- Demonstrable understanding of interface management processes and methodologies in alignment with Systems Engineering principles.
- Experience in the application of Systems Engineering standards such as ISO/IEC 15288 and 24748-1, preferably in the railway environment.
- Knowledge in rail systems safety assurance and application of relevant CENELEC standards, and safety case development.
- Ability to work with others and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, clients, consultants, and staff.
