My Client, a leading International engineering consultancy are currently seeking a Principle or Technical Director, Highways to join their successful Sydney operations.. The role is crucial to the success of any major project and you will be responsible for the overall design delivery including having the ultimate carriage on any technical decision as well as ensuring projects are delivered to program.
You will be an excellent leader for your design team; proactively and passionately supporting our client f to achieve outstanding results.
Qualifications
You will be a passionate individual who has extensive experience in the roads and highways sector. Utilising your considerable experience, you will support relationships with existing clients and actively seek new business opportunities to build our clients brand across the region. Not only will you prepare submissions and bids for projects, as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will also contribute to a wide range of projects. You will have a proven track record of delivering medium to large roads and highways projects. Key requirements:
As a Technical Director within our Highways team you will possess some of the following.
- Proven experience delivering and managing a portfolio of major/significant road, and infrastructure projects within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in managing a department or larger team, mid-size client program or multiple processes or programs with moderate to high complexity and meeting and exceeding delivery requirements
- Experience in mentoring a team of professionals to deliver exceptional service
- Significant consulting/business knowledge, with major project and/or team management experience
- Provides leadership and direction through Managers and professional staff or lead efforts to grow our technical expertise as a sponsor within the discipline
- Excellent knowledge of project management, and business management systems and procedures, and financial systems
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, customer focus and business analysis skills
- Strong client engagement and business development experience would be advantageous
- Team player with good communication skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar
- 7-20 years relevant professional experience in Transport engineering
- Project Management or Design Management courses would be looked on favourably
- CPEng/RPEV accreditation
- Consulting experience.
