About the Opportunity
The Intelligence Officer is tasked with developing, coordinating, and managing the security and intelligence collection plan. Their goal is to provide timely intelligence to the Security and Deputy General Managers, aiming to reduce risk and support informed decision-making.
What you’ll be doing
The Intelligence Officer undertakes responsibilities related to incorporating Serco's key operating principles within a remand centre, including:
- Promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates.
- Ensuring the safety and security of inmates and the community.
- Providing a safe and respectful environment for staff, inmates, and visitors.
About you - your ideal skills & experience
- Certificate III in Correctional Practice
- Experience working in law enforcement, defence, or related industry.
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of information management systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of the intelligence discipline on matters which affect the security and good order of a secure environment.
- Knowledge of intelligence processes and products.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- High levels of resilience.
