NES Fircroft is partnered with a global energy business. As a result of recent growth, they are seeking a Process Chemist to join the team. This role will be offered on a minimum 12 month contract basis, with likely extension beyond that date. A competitive hourly rate will be paid for this role working 38 hours per week; Monday to Friday. Free parking on site is provided as well as the opportunity for career development/advancement.
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure raw materials (additives and base oils), and lubricants manufactured and warehoused by the Facility are tested to the required technical specifications, GMP requirements and Quality Standards by effective utilisation of current quality procedures and practices in accordance with the Quality, Environmental and Technical Management Systems. You will also assist in maintaining the technical management system for the laboratory. You'll ensure formulations and specifications are accurate and current while working to verify and optimise new formulations by making and testing the lab blends.
To be considered you must possess a formal tertiary qualification in a related scientific field - ideally a Chemistry Degree. This will be combined with at least two years of experience working in a manufacturing control lab and sound working knowledge of computers and good communication skills.
