Process Electrical Technician
Ravenswood Gold Pty Ltd is the new owner and operator of Ravenswood Gold Mine, located approximately 130kms south of Townsville. The mine is a proven producing asset and has transitioned from underground mining to a large scale, low cost open pit mining operation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Process Electrician to join our maintenance team. This permanent opportunity will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. This role incorporates working as part of a team, performing planned tasks and breakdown maintenance, diagnosing and repairs regarding all aspects of open pit fixed plant equipment in a gold Processing Plant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Ensuring activities are conducted in compliance with Site Safety and Environment Policies and Procedures and the Queensland Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act and Regulations, and Australian Standards
Assist in the further development of the site safety management systems and participate in JSEA’s and investigations as required
Maintain good verbal communication with team members and other department areas
Proven skills in diagnosis/problem solving, innovation and documentation
Undertaking necessary training to achieve safe & efficient equipment maintenance.
Performing maintenance activities on fixed plant equipment including troubleshooting, sourcing of parts and equipment and undertaking repair activities in a safe and timely manner.
Maintaining good housekeeping.
Completing all necessary documentation correctly and on time
Contributing towards any improvements or initiatives relating to productivity or costs.
Be active in developing and improving personal skill levels with regards to safe and reliable equipment.
Be willing to assist with training of new personnel in areas you are deemed competent.
ABOUT YOU
At least 3-5 years of experience with fixed plant equipment on a mine site
Self-managing with strong decision-making skills
Experience with Electrical processes and methodology
Pronto CMMS knowledge and proficiencies - highly desired
A strong team approach, including the ability to develop professional working relationships
Ability to set priorities to ensure objectives are met, problem solve, multi-task and work in a rapidly changing environment.
Manual C Class driver’s licence.
Relevant Trade Qualification Certificate III in Electrical Technology.
Confined Space and Working at Heights
High-Risk Tickets will be well regarded.
Team focused with strong communication and organisational skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
