SalaryDue to continued growth, Liebherr-Adelaide is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Engineer. Reporting to the Manager, Fabrication, this newly created role of Engineer, Fabrication will see you be responsible for leadership and co-ordination of the technical requirements for fabrication, technical training and continuous improvements. This includes ensuring adherence to schedule as per Liebherr Norm requirements for manufacturing and technical liaison with all facets of the business where fabrication components are in use.Responsibilities include:
- Provide effective and timely technical support to Fabrication team through mentoring and on the job training
- Review, amend and maintain technical drawings to ensure compliance and operational readiness
- Plan, implement and monitor advanced technology (Automation/robotics)
- Plan, implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives in the fabrication process
- Conduct internal compliance audits and provide constructive feedback
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Laise with Liebherr factory engineers for concession to amend technical data as required
- Alert the organisation of potential or known problems that affect the quality of products and services
- Initiate recommendations for improvement of the organisation's policies and processes
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrialisation or related discipline essential
- Demonstrated 3 years' minimum experience as in an Engineer role
- Post Graduate qualifications in relevant discipline highly desirable
- Previous experience or exposure within manufacturing workshops
- Welding/Fabrication experience
- Lean/Six Sigma qualifications highly desirable
- Current drivers licence
