Here at Concentis, we are exclusively partnering with a Tier-1 Mining company to source a junior/intermediate Process Engineer to support the day-to-day management of a waste-water treatment plant to ensure maximum availability and efficiency.
You will be tasked with implementing Process Engineering solutions to ensure sustainable operations on-site with an opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and gain valuable experience within a complex brownfield environment.
This client-side role, flying to a remote mine site in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 roster engagement.
Accountabilities:
- Monitor daily plant and operational data to ensure performance metrics are met
- Assist in implementing process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Compile concise reports on monitoring and troubleshooting findings, offering actionable recommendations
- Troubleshoot routine issues in wastewater treatment operations to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation
- Participate in equipment verification and basic testing
- Provide technical support to operations supervisors and technicians
- Foster a safety-conscious work environment by adhering to site HSE procedures and standards
- Qualifications in Processing or Chemical Engineering
- Demonstrated on-site experience in support day to day operations within a mining, water, or oil & gas environment
- Exposure to working on a wastewater treatment plant is seen as highly beneficial
- Effective stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
- Understanding of fluid dynamics, mass balance and solid-liquid separation
- Engaging attitude and passion for continuous learning
- Class C Driver’s License is required
