Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Process Engineer or Senior Process Engineer to join our Technical team. This role will report to the Technical Services Manager.
This role will be a 5:2 roster based in the Perth CBD with regular site trips to Coburn site located in the Shire of Shark Bay WA.
Our role
- Deliver technical support and advice to stakeholders to ensure a successful ramp-up of the processing plants
- Assist in the development of the training packages, priority operating systems and procedures and the subsequent roll out to the operations and technical teams to ensure personnel are trained and competent
- Monitor and report on the processing plants metallurgical performance
- Undertake metallurgical test work and projects to ensure processing plants meet business objectives
- Take corrective actions as required to meet or beat established metallurgical targets
- Proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure performance of processing plants is optimised
- Provide support for accurate and timely metallurgical accounting and production reporting
- Assist in developing/maintaining a full metallurgical accounting and reconciliation model
- Evaluate operational risks and opportunities and ensure implementation of mitigation strategies
- Direct and actively participate in engineering programs
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to embedding an inclusive and high performing team culture
- Demonstrate and promote proactive safety leadership in everything you do
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Minerals Processing, or other relevant tertiary degree
- At least 3 years relevant post degree experience in a minerals processing discipline
- Demonstrated delivery of initiatives that support the achievement of plant optimisation
- Experience directing improvement programs or work programs on site
The following are viewed favourably, but not essential:
- Experience in mineral sands, or gravity, magnetic and electrostatic separation experience with related commodities (desirable)
- Demonstrated project scoping and delivery gained from working in a consultancy or site based project environment
- EPCM and commissioning experience
