Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO Ex Perth
This role is responsible for managing the analytical lab operation and ensuring quality reporting of results to assist with metallurgical performance in the ore processing facility (OPF). This role will also assist with production reporting and ensure integrity of metallurgical accounting in the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing operation of the Iron Bridge lab and sampling
- Monitor and review metallurgical results from lab processing to ensure safe and accurate work/reporting
- QAQC of production reporting data
- Liaising with Reliability and Maintenance teams for troubleshooting of critical metallurgical accounting instruments
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary Qualification - Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Advanced computer literacy including process data historian, data platforms, SAP, Tableau,
- Knowledge of dry and wet mineral processing operations
- Knowledge of analytical and metallurgical testing methods and lab operations
- Proficient in metallurgical accounting including mass and water balancing
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
