The highly supportive team of professionals requires a Process Engineer to develop and execute capital project work for its tier one client base. On offer is a full time engineering role working on challenging projects utilizing your skills and developing them further through career enhancing experiences. The role requires an engineer that can span the full capital project cycle and communicate, lead and direct to all levels. The job requires travel within Melbourne and interstate.Responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions for production cost reduction, asset replacement, new product commercialization opportunities.
- Produce feasibility studies inclusive of designs, costs and time estimations.
- Develop scope and specifications for tendering and rfp's
- Contractor management – procurement, supervision, Quality checks, deficiency list
- Maintain gantt charts and cost forecasting for projects
- Planning and management of installation and commissioning of equipment
- Safety management of contractors
- General project administration including report writing
- Manage overseas equipment vendors and technicians
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Mechatronics Engineering from an Australian University
- Drivers license
- Eligible for professional membership of Engineers Australia
- Ideally 2+ years experience delivering capital projects in a food manufacturing, warehouse automation or materials handling environment
- Familiar with AutoCad LT and Microsoft packages, including MS Project
- Able to lead, direct and supervise contractors
- Excellent communication skills for all levels
- Excellent time management to organize and prioritize tasks
- Efficient self-starter who has excellent attention to detail
- Capable of working independently both in the office and client sites
