JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. The JBS Cold Store facility is strategically located in Hemmant near the Brisbane port and employs approximately 150 people. Hemmant receives a high volume of truck and container loads of product from all the JBS sites around Australia, these are then re-loaded for our domestic and international customer' orders and readied for transport. We currently have an exciting opportunity availble for an experienced Process Improvement Coordinator to join the Hemmant team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Review operations to ensure continuous improvement opportunities are captured and actioned
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives designed to eliminate waste, non-valued added activities and improve performance in safety, quality, product delivery, cost and inventory management
- collaborating with production to analyse key performance data to ensure improvement
- develop employee capability (skills and culture) for sustaining CI improvements
- lead CI projects to deliver sustained operational and functional improvement
- execute improvement plans and initiatives to support the rollout and education of CI
- provide regular progress updates including reports and analysis
- hands-on experience delivering Process Improvements
- minimum CSSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSC-CLSSGB)
- mechanical aptitude with a background in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing (highly desirable)
- experience using modern Operational Excellence and CI methods
- strong project management, organisational and presentation skills
- tertiary qualification in Operational Planning or equivalent, advantageous
