About the Role

The Process Improvement Engineer will work in our flavour enhancer processing and packaging plant as well as in our Artisan bakery. They will provide technical leadership as an equipment, system, and product specialist across our Flavour Enhancer range. This role is responsible for driving out losses by identifying, developing, and executing solutions for glidepath performance improvements and loss elimination. As technical leader in the area, the engineer will also play a key role in building capability within the team and working with the business on initiatives such as capacity creation and commercialization.

Specifically you will:

• Create and embed new ways of working centred around CI methodologies, projects and results
• Identify, plan and implement key Process Improvement opportunities
• Drive improvements in Line efficiencies and productivity
• Oversee the planning and maintenance of the total site Team's SOP review and training program.
• Provide leadership and direction for the operators, managing the skills matrix, developing them
• Creation and activation of site improvement plans 
• Embed an asset development plan
• Ideation and project implementation to delivery (PDCA)
• Establish process on data analysis to make informed and purposeful projects that are impactful and deliver step change – work with the production, maintenance and supply chain leads to coach, train and build a culture of data driven decisions

 About you

• Ideally completed or working toward a Process Engineering or Mechatronic Degree.
• 5+ years working in a similar role in FMCG preferably food, dairy or beverage industry
• Accustomed with Continuous improvement techniques (eg Lean, TPM, Kaizen)
• Demonstrated change management and transformational experience 
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in line with technical and leadership competencies
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain drivers preferably within FMCG
• Ideally supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
