About usIn the heart of Cobden is our milk powder, fresh milk and butter plants, also known as the home of Australia’s favourite butter for over 90 years - Western Star. This is our largest site in Australia, which makes butter and spreads, and fresh milk for both China and domestic markets.About the opportunityThe Process Lead role is responsible for leading and developing the operating teams’ technical understanding and mastery of process control. As the centreline owner you will identify and eliminate process losses occurring along the process and packing lines.Key responsibilities:·Lead and manage a team of operators to ensure the safe and efficient operation of dairy processing equipment.·Oversee all aspects of production processes, from milk intake to packaging, while maintaining product quality and consistency· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive efficiency.· Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations· Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing corrective actions· Participate in budget planning and cost control effortAbout youWe are looking for candidates that are technically minded and have a similar background in process management within a food based or comparable manufacturing environment.You can also demonstrate:·Background in continuous improvement and process improvement, six sigma or similar qualification will be highly regarded·Working experience of waste identification projects and the use of Lean methods to eliminate waste·Strong leadership and people management skills·Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities·Knowledge of quality control and safety standards· Effective communication and interpersonal skillsAre you excited about this opportunity but may only meet some requirements?
