We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our global biomedical client in the construction of their new manufacturing site in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to be completed in 2026 and will be one of a kind in the southern hemisphere.
The Role
Based on site, this full-time, this role is responsible to support elements of the PNS Process design and execution and broader team to ensure that the specified project requirements are implemented to specification, time and quality objectives, and within budget.
Main Responsibilities:
Leading and delivering the project objectives, controlling scope changes to meet budget and schedule, functionality according to the process URS and Equipment TRSs, GMP, safety and environmental requirements during all phases of the project (Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Qualification);
- All aspects of equipment design for the PNS process
- Process Design Qualification
- Process Equipment procurement
- Process Equipment FATs
- Off-site Fabrication and On-site installation of process equipment and pipework
- FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
- SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
- Commissioning of the PNS process
- Qualification of the PNS process
The project has most of equipment installed, it is now at the stage of completing the construction of facility.
The chosen candidate will be involved in:
- Working on the construction site, running testing on equipment
- Prepare tests scripts on equipment
- Reporting on how activities are progressing
- Interaction with suppliers, operations team
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering field
- 3+ years experience in similar role
- Needs to be able to display independence in decision making
- Person must be able to communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders
- Knowledge of automation
- Previous experience in commissioning and qualification of equipment
- Will need to be able to hit the ground running
