Process Safety Engineer

About the role

Working on all aspects of Process Safety in tandem with a strong existing team of 5 people (including this role), you will be based out at one of the core assets, with hybrid working arrangements. Within the program of work, you will be supporting technical Process Safety, broader integration within the site operations team and all of the necessary aspects of regulatory and compliance associated with the MHF site. Core projects and focus points of this role include:

• Helping build frontline engagement between the Process Safety team and the rest of the Operational workforce, creating better integration of cross-functional disciplines
• Process refinement within significant ongoing and pipeline CapEx projects of work
• Ensuring all operational activities are conducted in line with both MHF requirements and and site Safety Management Plan.
• Driving safety activities including Bowties, HAZOPs, risk assessments and hazard analysis activities

About you?

You may be an existing Process Safety Engineer looking for a new challenge within a market leader, that is known across industry for their flexible ways of work and their generous employee benefits scheme. You may alternatively be a chemical process engineer who has worked on safety projects or worked closely in tandem with a Safety Manager/Process Safety Manager. Broadly speaking, we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, across Chemical Engineering, WHS/OH&S or related
• Demonstrated experience in Process Safety preferred, ideally within a MHF or DG site. 
• Good communication skills across various stakeholder groups
• Ability to influence change and drive operational performance both within discipline and broader operations
