Our Operations

Our optimised operations and supply network includes a Kwinana-based superphosphate manufacturing, granulation plant, liquid fertiliser, and nine despatch plants. These operations are supported by port access and Fertiliser storage and despatch facilities in Geraldton, Bunbury, Albany and Esperance, and six depots and other despatch plants located across the state.

About the role

We are seeking a Process Technician to join our team in production of quality fertiliser products for our growers. In this role, you will be dedicated to the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment within specified guidelines.

You will familiarise yourself with our plant, operate and monitor various process equipment ensuring smooth operations and adherence to production schedules. This includes monitoring process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations, to maintain product quality and safety standards.

As a result of routine inspections you will identify preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. You will troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of process deviations, and assist in implementing corrective actions.

As a Fertilise Production team member you will play a critical role in the engagement of the entire Fertiliser team. You will be committed to continuous engagement improvement by actively setting and delivering on goals with your peers and leaders.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment and minimize the facility's environmental impact.
  • Collect and analyse samples at different stages of the production process, conduct tests, and accurately record data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance, to address production challenges and implement process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure process consistency and compliance.
  • Involvement in plant start-ups, shutdowns and achievement of plant utilisation and production targets.
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping including daily log reports, development of isolation check sheets and raising work orders for equipment.
  • CSBP employees look after each other to meet daily goals and look for ways to improve the business. You will receive structured training and support, and be a key player in a business that continuously strives to better meet customer needs

Do you have a mixture of the following skills and experience?

  • You value commitment to your own safety, the safety of others and are familiar with safe work methods and practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations highly regarded.
  • Certificate III/IV in Process Plant Operations or working towards one would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and operation of control systems with the ability to carry out duties in accordance with documented procedures and an understanding of permitting systems.
  • Role model inclusive behaviour and foster an environment that values diversity.
  • Demonstrate a customer centric approach and the ability to hold teams and individuals accountable for meeting customer requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Newly qualified technical professionals or tradespeople who are seeking operational experience are also welcome to apply.

This role requires you to work on a Sportsperson roster (5 - on, 5 - off, 4 - on, 5 - off, 5 - on, 4 - off) and provides flexibility with working hours and the ability to work additional hours including weekends. In return, you will be compensated attractively.
