Process Technician

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the core responsibility of this key role will be to:
- Operate and monitor production plants such as leach plants, Boilers and pressure vessels, RO and other water treatment units, heat exchangers and cooling towers, filters, dryers, air compressors and air blowers etc.
- Ensure the plant runs as per standard operating instructions and within the parameters for safe and efficient operation
- Conduct required quality assurance laboratory testing for process samples
- Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment
- Troubleshoot issues that arise in the plant
- Minor repairs of production equipment, including attending to the planned shutdown works
- Ensure production documentation is completed and signed correctly
- Train production employees on the assigned shift
Accordingly, and for this important role, we are targeting an individual with the following qualifications and experience:
- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Additional technical certifications (Certificate III or above)
- preferably experience in a similar role within a Process Chemical Plant Operation
- Strong technical and mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot production issues
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Previous experience operating industrial boilers is advantageous
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 Nights and 4 days Off) and overtime if necessary
