In this role you will also be required to perform minor maintenance tasks as necessary whilst also developing a safer way to work across the plant and ensuring that our environmental and cultural awareness is always at the forefront of our processing operationsLocation: Prominent Hill, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)Roster: 8 days on 6 days off (Day shift) and 7days on 7 days off (Night shift)Employment Type: Permanent Full-TimeThe key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist with operating the Copper concentrate plant in a safe productive manner.
- Be prepared to perform minor maintenance tasks.
- Assist in developing a safe, environmental and culture awareness across the shift.
- Actively contribute to the planning and management of work area
- Work within the shifts to achieve a high standard of housekeeping and general plant tidiness.
- Show teamwork by helping others and being flexible to meet business needs.
- Look for opportunities to improve the processing operations.
- Ensure safe isolation of plant for work to be conducted.
- Assist in the achievement of production KPI's and targets (e.g. Copper metal)
- Maintain quality output for area of responsibility.
- Complete shift logs for area of responsibility including all relevant information for effective handover.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and liaise with electrical/mechanical/metallurgy teams and shift supervisor to rectify and minimise disruption to plant operation
- Some experience in minerals processing operations environment.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of crushing and grinding circuits.
- Prior experience in pressure filtration, paste plant, flotation and tails dam operations.
- Experience in building and maintaining effective systems that will deliver the highest levels of safety and performance whilst achieving production targets.
- Safety leadership skills to work with and across all teams and areas on site.
- Previous experience and ability to work in a highly effective team
- Must be able to work well in an agile, lean and accountable team committed to achieving the departmental strategic objectives.
- Demonstrated understanding and exposure of relevant legislation and mining regulations including occupational health and safety.
