We design, procure, build, install, commission and troubleshoot hydraulic, process and hydrogen packages. To support our ambitious business plans, we are looking to further strengthen our engineering team with the right people in Perth WA.
We seek a motivated Process/Hydrogen Project Engineer to join our existing team and work within a multi-discipline engineering team.
Main responsibilities- Design process packages including skids, lifting frames, reservoirs, walkways, instrumentation panels, tubing / piping and various components bracketry to suit project requirements and comply to specifications, industry standards & safety regulations.
- Select components based on process requirements and verify suitability/compliance with project specifications.
- Support technically the team to deliver projects on time, on spec and within budget.
- Work alongside Project Manager, other Project Engineers and Lead Engineers (hydraulic / process / mechanical) to execute projects.
- Generate and assist engineers in the generation of project documentation, including, drawings, schematics, diagrams, inspection test plans (ITP), quality plans, datasheets, workshop assembly & test procedures, etc.
- Vendor and sub-contractor identification, selection and management, as required.
- Provide workshop instructions, documentation and assist workshop team during assembly and testing stages.
- Provide expertise and assistance to investigate and resolve technical and commercial matters.
- 5+ years’ relevant design experience in mechanical engineering.
- Australian work rights.
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering – Mechanical/Chemical (or equivalent).
- Problem-solving, creativity, continuous learning, attention to detail, adaptability, time management and communication skills.
- Understand all the engineering design and risk analysis steps/meetings (HazOp, HazId, Design Review, FMEA, SID, HFE, DRA, etc.), their purpose, their formats, and the associated documents.
- Knowledge of materials and their properties to make informed decisions on material selection for different components.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, ASME, ANSI, DNV, API) to ensure compliance.
- Ability to read / interpret hydraulic schematics, P&IDs and electrical drawings.
- Hydraulic / process industry experience.
- Experience in offshore oil & gas and knowledge of standards (e.g., API, DNV).
- Experience in the Hydrogen Sector
- Familiarity with project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Trello, or others, can streamline project planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD LT and Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
