The Adelaide Production and Treatment Alliance is a partnership with SA Water and is responsible for operating and maintaining five water treatment plants and five wastewater treatment plants that deliver services to the Adelaide Metropolitan regions.
Working in partnership with SA Water as one brand and one team, the Adelaide Production & Treatment Alliance (P&T Alliance) will enable a safe and engaged workforce to meet SA Water’s customer service targets and regulated responsibilities at the lowest sustainable cost for Adelaide customers. With improved integration and collaboration, the P&T Alliance team combines expertise from SUEZ and SA Water under a shared responsibility structure to ensure delivery of trusted water services our community needs now and into the future.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Procurement, Risk & Compliance Manager, the Procurement and Local Participation Coordinator will ensure the procurement activities meet the requirements of ASD P&T Alliance. The role will provide administration support in the procurement function and actively contribute to a positive team working environment.
What you will be doing:
- Provide advice and support to all SUEZ P&T Alliance employees regarding their procurement requirements in accordance with policies and procedures, including responding to queries in relation to Purchase Orders.
- Set up Purchase Orders and Standing Orders, ensuring all information is provided to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain a register of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliant and accurate supplier and subcontractor documentation.
- Provide support to the Procurement, Risk & Compliance team and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement of processes and procurement arrangements.
- Support the Fleet & Stores Co-Ordinator where necessary.
- Liaise with both the current and potential supply chain.
- Promote local industry participation to consultants, subcontractors and other groups involved in the Alliance.
- Coordinate the upskilling of local supply chain to the benefit of both the Alliance and supply chain partners.
- Coordinate feedback to SA Water on matters if observed to be limiting to the consideration of the local content.
- Support the delivery of IPP targets including the reporting framework, and coordination of the IPP project.
- Support the Procurement Advisor to expand our existing network of South Australian suppliers and identify further opportunities for local SMEs through consultation with the Office of Industry Advocate (OIA), Industry Capability Network (ICN) SA, government organisations, South Australian industry and other groups.

- Aboriginal Business consultant - service offered by Industry Advocate
- ICN Expression of Interest databases
- Local Councils’ industry databases
What you can bring to the team:
Essential requirements:
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and show initiative.
- Strong communication skills including good telephone manners and written skills.
- Intermediate experience with MS Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Relevant experience in WHS Management Systems and Accounting Systems. Experience in RapidGlobal, SkyTrust, Sharepoint, and Ellipse beneficial but not mandatory.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work as a team member or independently.
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications in Business, Procurement, Engineer, or similar field are desirable.
