About The Company
Our client is a leading modular builder with a 30-year background in residential builds. Specializing in both on-site and pre-fab construction, with recent expansion into modular, they boast a revenue of $25 million, with a significant portion dedicated to material costs, experiencing rapid growth, particularly in the B2B sector.
About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the supply chain and ensuring timely procurement of materials. This is a new role, created to support the team with their expanding operations.
Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
• Manage the supply chain to ensure materials are available when needed while minimizing excess inventory
• Oversee a $7 million procurement budget and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
• Utilize ERP systems ((transitioning to MYOB advanced) and other tools to streamline procurement processes and data analysis
• Liaise closely with production managers to align procurement activities with production schedules

About You
The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience in supply chain management
• Construction experience or industrial manufacturing background (desirable)
• Familiarity with ERP systems, with proficiency in Excel and Power BI
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
• Strong leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• A proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• The capacity to manage a high-value procurement budget effectively
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to analyse data to drive informed procurement decisions
