In this critical role, you will:

• Dive deep into the modular world: Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the modular home construction industry, its materials, and specific needs.
• Source like a champion: Leverage your expertise to find the best-priced, highest-quality products, both locally and internationally, prioritizing purpose-driven solutions.
• Negotiate like a pro: Secure the most favourable contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Become an inventory magician: Manage our warehouse with precision, optimizing stock levels, minimizing waste, and ensuring seamless flow of materials.
• Logistics maestro: Orchestrate efficient transportation and scheduling, guaranteeing materials arrive at the right place, right time, every time.
• Data-driven decisions: Data optimised operations, to produce and report efficiency and accountability to all stakeholders
• Build lasting relationships: Cultivate trust and strong partnerships with diverse suppliers, fostering collaboration and long-term benefits.
• Experience with sourcing new products locally and from China, including navigating import regulations and building relationships with Chinese manufacturers.
• Collaborate seamlessly: Work closely with production, engineering, management and finance teams to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain.

We're looking for a team member with:

• 3+ years of experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in the residential construction or building manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of successfully sourcing and negotiating for best-in-class products and competitive pricing, locally and overseas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for finding innovative solutions to supply chain challenges.
• Experience in sourcing and negotiating with Chinese suppliers is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, ensuring clear and timely updates to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in inventory management and knowledge of logistics principles.
• Experience with sourcing new products from China, including navigating import regulations and building relationships with Chinese manufacturers.
• Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
