Procurement, Logistics and Freight Manager

Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement, Logistics and Freight Manager to procure, create and implement Logistics and warehouse solutions for Sugar Australia and Wilmar Ingredients across our network.
Work for an iconic and reputable Australian food manufacturer in a permanent full-time role based at our Sugar Australia Head Office in Yarraville.
Reporting to the National Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Lead a team of analysts ensuring people leadership in line with Sugar Australia's culture
• Management and execution of contract service level agreements for required Logistics and warehouse services

• Procurement of Logistics and warehouse services including facilitating a competitive environment to bring best service and cost opportunities to respective Wilmar businesses
• Champion of Chain of responsibility. Active engagement with transport service providers and Sugar Australia sites, ensuring compliance is front of mind for all parties
• Develop and implement optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
• Work closely with the S&OP team to optimise stock holdings and movements
• Ensure accurate and proficient management and control of our inventory to deliver DIFOT target and minimal stock losses

What we're wanting you to bring to the table:

• Tertiary qualification in Business Management / Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or another relevant discipline
• 10+ experience in a senior / management Logistics / operations role
• SAP experience is highly regarded
• FMCG experience is desirable
• Demonstrated negotiating skills
• Demonstrated understanding of Logistics and networks within the Logistics functions

As the successful candidate you will be customer focussed, have high attention to detail and strong stakeholder management skills coupled with strong problem solving skills.
