We are a Domestic Freight Management business based in Dandenong South, VIC
Due to significant growth and increases in volumes within the business, we have a new position open for a Client Service Officer.
About the Role
This is an entry level position for a Customer Service Officer looking to enter the Transport and Logistics industry. Experience would be preferred but not essential. Reporting directly to the Client Service Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact between carriers and customers in what is a high volume, fast paced and enjoyable Customer Service role.
Your duties will include:
- Managing inbound requests from customers
- Data Entry
- Liaising with customers and carriers to ensure prompt and smooth pickup and delivery of all orders
- Managing expectations between the carriers and customers relating to issues and changes that arise relating to deliveries
- Daily reporting for major customers
- Regular onsite meetings with customers
- Assisting senior management with monthly reports
About You
This is a fast paced, high volume Customer Service role that requires a great attitude & outstanding attention to detail. You will have a strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience working in a customer facing/Customer Service role within logistics, transport or similar. (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to manage emails & experience managing high volumes of requests
- Strong attention to detail with great time management skills
- Competence with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- ASAP availability to commence
