The Role:
My Client is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Procurement Manager to lead and rejuvenate our procurement team during a significant period of growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust leadership qualities, capable of managing both day-to-day operations and multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing daily business operations while overseeing various projects.
- Managing the procurement function of the business
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
- Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier selection.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues or concerns as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams to support strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Significant management experience and a proven track record of cost saving and project completion achievements.
- Strategic sourcing expertise.
- Strong ERP system knowledge and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrated belief and commitment to safety in the workplace
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing
skills. - Analytically driven
