About the Position.
Reporting to the CFO, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our growing business. You will be accountable for leading the implementation of a new, company-wide inventory and procurement strategy and program.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for driving procurement performance across all spend areas, managing procurement operations, and supplier relationship management. You will act as the primary point of contact across all sites. You will be responsible to ensure operational and procurement initiatives are connected and maintain strategic alignment, participate in the development of supply management strategies and integrate into Procurement sourcing activity, and manage site-level projects and supplier activity to ensure production efficiency.
You will connect with operations, analyse, and identify trends, implement effective cost saving programs and use technology and data as integral parts of your approach to management.
You will work with strategic suppliers across the group to implement partnership programs, supplier performance and contract management, and managing day to day supplier activities.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Align key suppliers with safety plans, objectives, and values.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking expenditures and reporting on savings.
- Partner with the executive leadership team, aligning plans with different business entities.
- Develop and monitor inventory management strategies for working capital efficiency.
- Coach and support Management in applying leading procurement processes.
- Build key stakeholder relationships, influencing to drive the company agenda.
- Develop creative sourcing development.
- Manage supplier relationship identifying potential vendors and assessing performance.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing.
- Tertiary qualifications in business management and or related discipline preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in developing or improving procurement functions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and coach senior managers.
- Strong capability to influence change and challenge perceptions.
- Self -motivated with an enthusiastic approach to a changing work environment
- Strong computer literacy in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
