Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) operates three of Adelaide’s most iconic and commercially successful venues - Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join AVM’s Procurement and Supply Chain Department, located within the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The Role
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the South Australian Government and AVM Procurement Frameworks while providing high-quality procurement consultancy and advisory services to the Corporation for the procurement of goods, services, and capital expenditures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement in a similar role or be someone looking to take the next step in their procurement career.
Key Responsibilities
- South Australian government and AVM procurement frameworks.
- Ensure procurement processes are conducted in accordance with AVM procurement frameworks, policies and guidelines.
- Lead and support staff through all aspects of the procurement function including planning, sourcing, administering, record keeping and coordinating procurement processes at all levels.
- Perform and ensure all assigned category management responsibilities, including sourcing, timely and accurate order placement, and stock management are delivered.
- Provide advice and assistance in the preparation of activity planning, acquisition plans, purchase recommendations, risk and contract management plans, tender, evaluation and contract documentation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement without compromising quality.
- Work closely with relevant AVM contract managers to ensure compliance with contract criteria is being adhered to, including quality of service delivery and financial accountability in line with the contract and AVM’s procurement framework.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of procurement frameworks, policies and guidelines.
About you
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in a strategic procurement role.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering compliance to procurement frameworks, policies and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong engagement and influencing skills with an ability to provide leadership and direction to relevant AVM staff.
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain or commerce, and CIPS qualifications or similar is highly desirable.
