The Procurement Manager will provide leadership to TMBL on service provider management, through the development and implementation of strategic and operational sourcing, purchasing governance, contracting, supply management strategies and processes and supplier relationship management governance to deliver the best value in service outcomes and enable achievement of organisational goals.
Key activities will include:
- Develop and implement organisational service provider management policies and processes to ensure a consistent and standardised approach and to efficiencies in procurement activities
- Create a service provider management strategy and provide leadership and guidance to effectively execute it
- Lead the research and analysis of market trends and best practice to ensure sourcing and procurement strategy and approach is current, risks are identified and governance frameworks are effective
- Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of service provider management to encourage innovative practices and support delivery of business outcomes
- Prepare TMBL’s annual Modern Slavery Statement and execute continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide resources and tools to support effective and consistent service provider delivery and management
- Assist functional business areas with the co-ordination of Requests for Information (RFI) and/or Requests for Proposal (RFP) as required
- Identify commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts on organisational objectives while encouraging opportunity and innovation
- Delivers reporting activities. Including but not limited to: Preparation of board reports, action items, policies, undertaking research, drafting briefing notes and creating presentations
- Develop and maintain regular reporting and triggers to support Relationship Owners and Relationship Managers in functional business areas
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who understand local regulatory requirements related to Risk Management and Vendor Governance. In addition to As well as excellent presentation and communication organisational and personal influence skills you will have demonstrated experience in the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Service Provider Management related discipline
- Experience in a similar role in the financial services industry
- Extensive experience in service provider management, strategic sourcing, procurement
- Ability to communicate and present to Executive / Board level audience
- Experience in risk control management
- Highly experienced in developing service provider governance frameworks and policies, and educating business on executing
